Ritual Union 2024
23rd March 2024 ~ Multiple venues ~ Capacity: 1800
Ritual Union festival is back and continues to go from strength to strength. @crosstownconcerts pulled out all the stops to bring an incredible array of music to Bristol.
Putting on 50 bands across 5 stages, playing 15 hours of music, involved a huge amount of preparation and set up. A massive thanks to all the crew and bands that made this possible.

Private Wedding Events in London
20th January – 22nd January 2024 ~ JW Marriott Grosvenor House London and The Peninsula London ~ Capacity: 300
We spent the weekend in London covering Backline Technician duties for a couple of private events. They were held at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London and The Peninsula London, both with stunning views of Hyde Park and Wellington Arch. With our best kit and experienced backline techs on hand, everything went smoothly, with the band and the guests all saying they’d had a great time. We’re looking forward to the next one!
Astral Fest 2023
29th April – 30th April 2023 ~ Strange Brew, Bristol ~ Capacity: 310
City and Moon Backline return to Astral Fest to once again to journey into Bristol’s fantastic psych scene, weaving a rich tapestry of cosmic sound through an array of our finest stacks
We’re so happy to be asked back to support this local independent festival again. They showcased the best of Bristol’s native psych acts along with the likes of Gnod, Mars Red Sky and Holy Scum. We’ll see you there in 2024 for more mystical musical magic!
Valley Fest 2023
3rd August – 6th August 2022 ~ Chew Magna, Bristol ~ Capacity: 9,999
Valley Fest 2023 built on the success of last year in a big way; with City and Moon Backline supporting with top notch backline as always.
We provided backline for the Lake (main) stage and The Yard stage, supporting live artists Soul II Soul, The Kooks, Bananarama and many more. We’re looking forward to 2024 when we’ll help them celebrate their 10 year anniversary in style!

Love Saves The Day 2023

Love Saves the Day keeps on delivering, year after year, consistently supplied with the best backline in the business by City and Moon Backline!

2000 Trees 2023
6th July – 9th July 2023 ~ Upcote Farm, Cheltenham ~ Capacity: 5,000
We at City and Moon Backline were proud to be invited to 2000 Trees to supply backline for the third time, and everything went off without a hitch
City and Moon provided backline generics for 4 stages, with a stellar lineup that included Bullet For My Valentine, Electric Six, The Eagles of Death Metal, Skindred and many more.It was, by all accounts, and incredible festival!
Following on from 2023’s success, we’re looking forward to being invited back in 2024…

ArcTanGent 2023
16th August – 19th August 2023 ~ Fernhill Farm, Bristol ~ Capacity: 10,000
Another year, another amazing line-up! City and Moon Backline provided the backbone of the ArcTanGent sound and together, we did not disappoint
As well as site-wide backline for all stages and site backline tech support, City and Moon once also supplied Jaga Jazzist, Igorrr, The Ocean, Health, Deafhaaven and more with their specific backline requests, including an ATG first in the form of a vibraphone and glockenspiel for Jaga Jazzist.
The ATG team are always professional and a joy to work with, we’re looking forward to their 10th year in 2024, we hope to see you all there…

Forwards 2023
1st – 2nd September 2023 ~ The Downs, Bristol ~ Capacity: 60,000
Forwards returns for its 2nd year under the new name, and really earns it. They brought out the big guns this year with Aphex Twin, Erykah Badu, Primal Scream, Bonobo, Goldie, Leftfield and Amyl and the Sniffers, enough to make your eyes water! And they were dedicated to keeping it local with Bristol stalwarts City And Moon Backline.
Again we provided site-wide generic backline across all stages, and as always, we’re looking Forwards to 2024.

Wilderness 2023
3rd August – 6th August 2023 ~ Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire ~ Capacity: 10,000
We were over the moon to be asked to be on-site backline supplier at Wilderness Festival this year. The big budget production didn’t disappoint, and spirits were high as the team pulled out all the stops to create a spectacular event that no-one in attendance would forget in a hurry!
We provided backline for 5 live stages, supporting a diverse range of artists from Arlo Parks to The London African Gospel Choir. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Boomtown 2023
9th August – 13th August 2023 ~ Matterley Estate, Hampshire ~ Capacity: 60,000
We were back at Boomtown this summer for – Boomtown Chapter Two: The Twin Trail – carrying on the tradition of a vibrant, immersive festival; covered by City and Moon Backline services site wide!
We provided backline for 8 live stages, supporting over 100’s of artists including Cypress Hill, Sister Sledge, Seun Kuti, Barrington Levy, Beenie Man, Kabaka Pyramind, Squid, Young Fathers, Warmduscher, Scalping and more.

Glastonbury 2023
22nd June – 25th June 2023 ~ Worthy Farm, Pilton ~ Capacity: 210,000
The biggest festival of the year, and of course City and Moon Backline were there to help make sure it lived up to expectations!
We were happy to be asked back to provide backline for 4 stages at Glastonbury this year. Supporting artists such as The Damned, Faithless, Mike Skinner, Neville Staple, Laura Mvula, Jake Shears, Melanie C and many more. We’ll be back next year with an even bigger selection of backline to please your ears!

Ritual Union 2023
We had an throughly good time supplying Ritual Union festival over the weekend. Big thank you to @crosstownconcerts for having us back for 2023.
With a whopping 54 bands across 6 stages, there was a lot of prep work involved.
We wanted to show you what our world looks like when get ourselves ready and packed for a multi venue day festival of this size.
Everything gets tested, checked, signed off and checked again. So there’s no nasty surprises when it arrives to the venue.

Formerly The Downs Festival, Forwards returns for another year, sporting some of the hottest acts out there including The Chemical Brothers, Rósín Murphy, Jamie XX, Little Simz, Khruangbin, Caribou and Sleaford Mods. Now twice the capacity of the last event and with the trusted services of City and Moon Backline on hand.

Ritual Union 2022
1st October ~ Bristol/Multi-Venue ~ Capacity: 2,500
Following on from a string of popular festivals in Oxford, the organisers of Ritual Union break into the Bristol Festival scene, and City and Moon Backline were more than happy to help!
Headlined by local star Katy J Pearson, we were pleased to supply the backline for 4 stages across 3 venues showcasing some of the best acts Bristol has to offer.
Ritual Union was such a success that they have invited us back to furnish their follow up festival. We hope to see you all there in March in 2023!

Shambala 2022
25th – 28th August ~ Northamptonshire ~ Capacity: 15,000
A firm favourite of festival-goers, Shambala returns to full capacity with the help of City and Moon Backline!
We were very happy to be asked to help the Shambala team out at short notice in 2022, providing the backline for the 3 largest stages on site, supporting artists such as K.O.G. & The Zonga Brigade, Tanka & The Bangers, Alice Phoebe Lou, Battles and Sona Jobarteh.
We’d like to congratulate Shambala on achieving several of their environmental goals and leading the way in making festivals more sustainable. We’ll see you all again in 2023!

Astral Fest 2022

Bristol’s favourite psychedelic fest re-emerges with an intimate weekender, once again supported by the services of City and Moon Backline!
We felt very privileged to be working with this incredible independent festival again. We saw some great performances from SLIFT, KARKARA, GNOD and PART CHIMP, as well as several local favourites. We look forward to seeing you there in 2023.
ArcTanGent 2022
17th August – 20th August 2022 ~ Fernhill Farm, Bristol ~ Capacity: 10,000
ATG bounces back with a higher capacity and bigger line-up, brought to you with the expert support of City and Moon Backline services!
City and Moon once again supplied site-wide backline for all stages and site backline tech support. As well as covering all generics we also provided artist-specific riders for Opeth, Mono, Cult of Luna, Leprous, Godflesh, This Will Destroy You, Emma Ruth Rundle, Arabrot, and Intronauts.
We were very pleased to be invited back after the last ATG was such a success, and had a great time making 2022 even better! We’ll see you all there again in 2023…

Boomtown 2022

We returned to Boomtown for its reboot – Boomtown Chapter One: The Gathering – for the festivals biggest event to date; covered by City and Moon Backline services site wide!
We provided backline for 10 live stages, supporting over 200 artists including Kool and the Gang, De La Soul, Julien Marley, Collie Budz, Squarepusher, Mad Caddies, Arrested Development, Ibibio Sound Machine, Koffee and more.
Valley Fest 2022
5th August – 7th June 2022 ~ Chew Magna, Bristol ~ Capacity: 9,999
Valley Fest went off with a bang in 2022; and we were there to make sure it continued to bang with well maintained, high quality backline.
We provided backline for the yard stage, supporting live artists such as Dizraeli and more. 2023 promises to be a belter too!
The Downs 2019
31st August – 1st September 2019 ~ The Downs, Bristol ~ Capacity: 30,000
The Downs Fest returns for another year bigger and better yet again, now a two-day event and with the trusted services of City and Moon Backline on hand.
We provided site-wide backline across all stages as well as fulfilling artist-specific riders for Lauryn Hill, Grace Jones, Nightmares on Wax and Crazy P.
We were also very happy to be sponsoring the Info Stage with its numerous guest speakers and a musical line up curated by IDLES’ frontman Joe Talbot.
ArcTanGent 2019
15th August – 17th August 2019 ~ Fernhill Farm, Bristol ~ Capacity: 9,000
Proving to be ATG’s biggest and boldest year-to-date, underpinned by the support of City and Moon Backline services!
City and Moon provided site-wide backline for all stages and site backline tech support. As well as covering all generics we also fulfilled artist-specific riders for Cult of Luna, Daughters, Car Bomb, The Ocean plus And So I Watch You From Afar.
This was our first year being involved with this excellent local festival and was a great success.
2000trees 2019

Another successfully year at 2000trees Festival, with the support of City and Moon Backline services!
City and Moon’s first year at Cheltenham’s multi-award-winning 2000trees Festival. Providing festival wide backline for all 5 stages in the stunning Cotswold hills, as well as professional backline technician support and full festival technical advancing for what proved to be 2000tree’s sunniest year yet!
It was great to be involved with one of the UK’s greatest independent festivals, showcasing a stellar array of diverse up-and-coming artists, as well as some big acts, including Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, You Me At Six, Deaf Havana and Every Time I Die.

Bristol’s much loved psychedelic extravaganza returns, and so does the services of City and Moon Backline!
